The System
Most tailors in Vietnam run on WhatsApp and a basic website. Nathan Tailors runs on a custom-built software platform — closer in sophistication to a Silicon Valley SaaS company than to a traditional atelier. Italian craftsmanship, Hoi An heritage, software-grade operations.
Total customer time from first message to fully-measured order: ~20 minutes — less than a doctor's check-up. Production in 3-4 days, door-to-door in about 3 weeks.
Manifesto
In 2026, ordering a bespoke suit in Vietnam still typically looks like this: a WhatsApp number on a Wix page, photos of fabric swatches sent over chat, measurements taken on a Zoom call where you hold a tape measure to your chest, and a final invoice paid via international wire transfer.
We thought tailoring deserved better infrastructure than that.
So we built it ourselves. Every part of the customer journey — from the first question about lapel widths to the final payment receipt — runs on software we wrote, on the same modern stack used by Vercel, Linear, and Stripe themselves. The result: an experience that feels like a SaaS product, delivered by master tailors with twenty-five years of bench experience in Hoi An's 400-year tailoring tradition.
The craft hasn't changed. The way we deliver it has.
What the system makes possible
Total customer time from first message to fully-measured order: about 20 minutes. Less than a standard physical. Production runs 3-4 days. The suit arrives at your door in about 3 weeks.
20 min
Total consultation
AI handles fabric and style questions before you talk to a human. Mini App captures measurements in five.
3-4 days
Hand-cut & sewn
Master tailors hand-cut and sew your garment in 3-4 working days, with progress photos via Telegram throughout.
~2 wks
Tracked door-to-door
Express international shipping with full tracking. US, EU, Asia — the suit shows up at your door, ready to wear.
The math
A standard US doctor's check-up runs 30 to 45 minutes. Most people accept that. Yet the average bespoke suit consultation in the West involves multiple appointments spread across weeks — fittings, fabric showings, alterations. We collapsed that into a single 20-minute interaction, mostly on your phone, because the platform does the coordinating. AI answers the questions you'd normally ask in person. The Mini App captures measurements with diagrams better than any tape-on-a-Zoom-call. Stripe handles payment in two taps. From there, master tailors take 3-4 working days to hand-cut and sew, and tracked international shipping puts the finished garment at your door in about three weeks total.
This is what tech enables in 2026. Most tailors haven't built it yet.
The Stack — Customer-Facing
OpenAI · Groq · Multilingual
Our Telegram bot answers fabric, sizing, and order questions in natural language — in English, Vietnamese, and Chinese. Powered by frontier LLMs, available 24/7. No competitor in Vietnam runs a system like this.
Customer-facing + Internal Operations
A customer bot for booking, AI chat, measurements, and payment. A separate internal bot for staff: gallery management, payment-link creation, statistics, scheduling. Built in-house.
pay.nathantailors.com
Every quote becomes a short shareable URL — pay.nathantailors.com/{code} — that opens a branded checkout page with live status (pending → paid → receipt). Not a generic Stripe link.
Self-serve, guided, synced live
Customers self-measure inside Telegram with a guided interface and diagrams. Data syncs directly into our production database. The only Vietnamese tailor — and one of very few worldwide — operating native Telegram tooling for measurement capture.
Timezone-aware · Auto-reminders
Booking displays both Vietnam time and your own local time. Partial unique indexes prevent double-booking. Cron jobs send automated reminders. No back-and-forth WhatsApp scheduling.
Recraft.ai · Nanobanana
Describe your ideal garment or upload a Pinterest reference and receive an AI-generated visualization before you commit. Among the first tailors anywhere to integrate generative AI into the bespoke workflow.
English · Vietnamese · Chinese
Three locales, fully indexed separately for each search engine. Not machine-translated overlays — every page rendered server-side per language for native SEO and instant load.
Next.js 16 · Vercel Fluid Compute
Next.js 16 App Router, React Server Components, Turbopack, Tailwind, MongoDB, Supabase. Edge-deployed on Vercel for sub-second TTFB anywhere in the world.
llms.txt · Structured Data
We publish llms.txt and llms-full.txt per spec. Our schema.org markup includes Organization, FAQPage, HowTo, Product, and TailoringService entities — so ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity recommend us by name.
